too fragile for winter winds

SOME, too fragile for winter winds,
The thoughtful grave encloses,—
Tenderly tucking them in from frost
Before their feet are cold.

(Emily Dickinson (1830–86).
Complete Poems. 1924. Part Four: Time and Eternity)
